My Two Favorite Shows Return Tonight: Monk and Psych

Friday night just became funny again, two of my favorite shows are returning tonight: Monk and Psych on the USA Network. Earlier this year, I wrote about how great these shows are and how you're probably not watching them. I hope you decide to check them out this season.

Monk is back with it's sixth season with guest star Sarah Silverman reprising her role as Marcie Maven. In the opener, Marcie is being charged with manslaughter because her dog is believe to have mauled someone to death. So, it's up to Monk (Tony Shalhoub) to try to prove Marcie's dog is innocent.

Psych's second season starts off with a nod to American Idol. Shawn (James Roday, left) and Gus (Dule Hill, right) enter a TV singing competition to find out who's trying to kill the show's "most hated" judge played by Tim Curry. The "Paula" like character will be played by Gina Gershon.
