** Gianfranco Ferré, the man dubbed the "architect of fashion" for his sculptured silhouettes, died Sunday night at the San Raffaele hospital after being hospitalized for a brain hemorrhage. He was only 62. His clients included Sharon Stone, Elizabeth Taylor, Oprah Winfrey, the Queen of Jordan, Paloma Picasso, Bernadette Chirac, Claude Pompidou, Sophia Loren, Princess Diana, Princess Michael of Kent, Marie-Helene de Rothschild and soprano Jessye Norman (WWD).
** Two and a Half Men's Jon Cryer married entertainment reporter Lisa Joyner in Mexico Saturday, June 16th.
** Ashley Judd Partners With Goody's to Debut Clothing Line this fall. In the line, Goody's will introduce three new labels -- AJ(TM), Love, Ashley(TM) and Ashley Judd(TM) -- and all will be exclusive to Goody's. The entire Ashley Judd label is comprised of classic and modern denim, organic and knit tees and sweaters. The line also encompasses career casual coordinates ranging from blazers, blouses and skirts to cardigan sets and trousers.
** Police arrested a family suspected of selling alcohol to minors after raiding their Monetery, CA home Saturday and finding about 1,000 bottles of premium liquor and hundreds of cases of beer, all worth about $50,000, according to officers. The arrests came as a result of a two-week investigation by Watsonville police that began after neighbors complained of suspicious behavior and high traffic at the home. Police said the alcohol was taken from Jalisco restaurant in downtown Watsonville where one of the accused worked (Monterey Herald).
** Donatella Versace announces large-scale initiatives commemorating Gianni Versace's death. The initiative will include a large-scale retrospective, a commemorative ballet by Maurice Béjart, establishing a fashion scholarship in Versace’s memory, and the city of Milan plans to erect billboards throughout the city in remembrance. Milan is also planning on naming a street or square after Versace, though officials at the press conference said that the exact location will be announced on July 15 (Fashion Week Daily).
