A Smart Cocktail Party

For the past two weeks, I have been helping a friend plan a "Smart and Single" party which is a take on the young professionals cocktail party. It was a small affair of 20 (19 guests plus the host). The party was over the weekend.

I helped because I love to plan parties and events. Plus, I get hone my skills and get more profesional experience.

The Event: A Smart and Single party. The objective of the party was for the guests to mingle and get to know each other while having fun. Another reason the host wanted to plan this party was so that her newly single friend can get back out there dating again. A few singles party games plus good music was also featured.

The Decor: Relaxed and beautiful including low lights with candles, white and pink floral arrangements through out the apartment.

Food & Bev.: Two small tables featuring pre-poured cocktails and non-alcoholic drinks as well as bottle water, pop, juice and various assortment of ice cubes. The food included bite-sized hors d'oeuvres (home made and purchased), light entrees and desserts (home made and purchased).

My friend had a great time at her own party (which is the main point of having a party) and the guests had a great time too.
