Women’s Health, the women's lifestyle magazine published by Rodale Inc., announced that its second annual "Are You Game?" event is returning to New York City this summer and expanding to Chicago. Building on the success of last year’s event, which was attended by more than 10,000 people, the outdoor festival will take place in New York City on July 12 at Hudson River Park’s Pier 46 and on July 19 in Chicago at North Avenue Beach.

Both events will be open to the public at no cost, and will offer an array of fun, challenges and activities, such as rock climbing, mechanical bull riding, beauty and spa treatments, workout classes, fashion shows, live music and more.

In concert with the Are You Game theme, event sponsors will host specific games, incorporate product displays and giveaways, and leverage on-site visibility with interactive areas for the thousands of visitors expected to attend this year’s events.

“Last year’s Are You Game festival exceeded our expectations and we are thrilled to bring the event back to New York City and expand it to Chicago this year,” said Mary Murcko, VP/Publisher of Women’s Health. “Are You Game is the perfect way to bring the pages of the magazine to life for our readers and for our partners to reach and interact with an audience of young, active, thrill-seeking and fun women.”

Sponsorship activation includes:

* ASICS will host the “Are You Game To Rate Your Gait?” where attendees can hop on a treadmill and have their running style analyzed by a pro. ASICS will also sponsor a class designed especially for runners taught by Crunch instructors in the Fitness Tent and participate in the “Are You Game to Sport Some Style?” fashion show. One lucky winner will have the chance to win a running package featuring prizes from ASICS and Garmin.

* Garmin International, the global leader in satellite navigation, will host the “Are You Game To Get Your Run On?” Treadmill Challenge where attendees can test the various Garmin Forerunner products. One lucky winner will have the chance to win a running package featuring prizes from Garmin and ASICS.

* Michelob ULTRA will sponsor “Are You Game to Perfect Your Bar Games?” during the event’s designated Happy Hour.

* Oakley, a global leader in sport performance optics, will host the “Are You Game to be Picture Perfect?” Photo Booth where you can get your picture taken in different style Oakley sunglasses to find your perfect look. Oakley will also host the “Are You Game to Get in the Swing of Things?” Golf Simulator and provide a golf pro to help women perfect their swing. Guests will also be able to try out the Oakley Thump Pro digital music eyewear and check out Oakley’s latest looks in the “Are You Game to Sport Some Style?” fashion show.

As the official spa partner of the event, Oasis Day Spa will provide all spa and beauty services for the “Workout to Knockout” makeovers, while Crunch, the official gym partner for Are You Game?, will instruct all of the workout classes.
