Mole Screening Takes a Backseat to Botox Appointments

In a study conducted by the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, patients who made an appointment to get a suspicious mole checked out have to wait more than three times as long as patients getting Botox. You would think that April Fool's would follow that statement but it doesn't.

The study showed that patients who scheduled the cosmetic treatment would only have to wait no more eight days to see the doctor. While, the patient who scheduled a check-up for a mole, had to wait up to 26 days to see the doctor.

So, what does that mean, when making an appointment let the receptionist know that you would like to see the doctor as soon as possible. Try to get something scheduled within a week and stress the importance of getting the mole checked out.
