Vanessa and Angela Simmons Expand Their Shoe Collection

Vanessa and Angela Simmons' Pastry Footwear Company Introduces New Design... Fab Cookie Collection that Launches August 15th

NEW YORK, July 23 -- MTV "Run's House" darlings Vanessa and Angela Simmons, who launched their wildly successful venture, Pastry Footwear, earlier this year, are continuing to produce colorful, fun footwear for young ladies with the introduction of their second collection, Fab Cookie, which will be available August 15th. Short for "Fabulous Cookie," the ladies created the line because they feel that "every girl wants to be fabulous."

As the follow-up to their Cake Collection, Fab Cookie will feature three styles, which were personally designed by Vanessa and Angela. Retailing at a reasonable $65.00, the collection consists of shoes named White Chocolate Chip, Peanut Butter, and Double Chocolate Chip. National retailers selling Pastry Footwear include Underground Station, Finish Line and Zappos.com.

The Cake Collection paved the way and laid a solid foundation for Pastry Footwear. Initial sales for the line indicated that young women were indeed ready for an athletic-inspired shoe that was feminine; after all, Pastry Footwear is "by girls, for girls." The intelligent, ambitious Vanessa and Angela knew what they'd like, and translated that into stylish, eye-catching shoes.

Viewers of the popular MTV reality show "Run's House" witnessed the beginning of the Pastry Footwear idea on one of the episodes. Vanessa and Angela carefully formulated their idea and took it to their father, Run DMC rap legend/author/entrepreneur Rev. Run, and their uncle, multi-media mogul Russell Simmons, for their input and assistance with turning it into an actual business. Subsequently, life imitated art, and Vanessa and Angela are now busy businesswomen, running their Pastry Footwear company.

The hard-working, focused siblings also have other ventures as well. Vanessa just landed a role on the long-running soap opera "The Guiding Light" and her younger sister Angela continues to publish her teen magazine, "Angela's Rundown." Both lovely ladies are fashionistas, who are more likely to begin trends than to follow them. Additionally, they will both appear on the 4th season of MTV's "Run's House," which will premiere in September.
