Style and Focus News Bites

** Another lawsuit is being filed against Forever 21 this time by Gwen Stefani. The lawsuit contests that Forever 21 has allegedly stolen designs from both Stefani's highly successful L.A.M.B. and Harajuku Lovers lines (Fashion Week Daily).

** A new retail brand called Love Culture will be introducing a new concept aimed at teens. The concept will include opening 200 to 300 stores in the US in less than a decade (WWD).

** Victoria Beckham's Monday night TV special failed to capture the American audience. According to World Entertainment News Network, the reality special was a "flop" - more people tuned into re-runs of sitcoms instead of watching her show. Only 4.9 million watched "Victoria Beckham: Coming To America", which documented her efforts to find a home in Los Angeles prior to her move to the city to support husband David Beckham's new career with soccer team the L.A. Galaxy.

** Popular 80's and 90's rap group, Salt 'N Pepa reunite for new VH1 reality series. Salt (Cheryl Wray) 'N Pepa (Sandra Denton) recently appeared together on stage during VH1's session at the Television Critics Association Summer Press Tour at the Beverly Hilton Hotel to promote their new VH1 reality series, "The Salt 'N Pepa Show."

** Jessica Simpson launches her first swimwear collection on the Mercedes Benz Miami runway. “The inspiration for this show is me,” Simpson told Fashion Week Daily. “The Jessica Simpson look is definitely all-American chic. There is no reason a woman cannot be cute, beautiful, pretty, chic and bohemian. There is no reason we can’t be everything” she said.
