Style and Focus News Bites

** Nielsen Co. announced a deal with Sony Corp. to collect data from hundreds of thousands of PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Portable owners, capturing such information as which video games were being played and for how long.

For Nielsen, the deal furthers the company's ambition to measure the consumption of media content wherever it appears, whether it's delivered by television, cellphone, computer or game console. The company is also trying to keep up with people, in particular 18- to 34-year-old men, who are spending less time watching TV and more time playing games.

** Korres (the Greek natural homeopathic skin and haircare product company) will open its first two US stand alone stores this year in NYC. The first, in Soho which is expected to open late this summer. The second store in Brooklyn Heights and is slated for a September open.

** Jade Jagger has designed the latest Summer "IT" bag, a hot pink embossed tote with gold palm trees (see picture). She designed the limited edition bag for her lifestyle brand Jezebel in conjunction with Bill Amberg and mobile media company 3.

As part of Jagger’s design deal, the totes will be available beginning mid-July through August and only with select mobile phone plans purchased from 3 stores at Superdrug retailers in England. (Fashion Week Daily).

** Model and Burlesque entertainer, Dita Von Teese is reportedly planning to release a book of erotic dance tips and sex advice for women. Mrs. Von Teese was recently at the Australian Fashion Week performing and promoting the MAC Viva Glam line.
