Style and Focus News Bites

** Toronto native Evan Kosiner whose only 19, started Uplights By Design, which rents out and sets up LED lights for weddings, events and parties.

** French luxury brand Sisley announced the opening of its first spa on May 14th at the Byblos Hotel, Saint-Tropez, in the South of France. The spa includes a retail area offering the full line of Sisley products, three treatment rooms, a steam room, a “Vichy shower” for aromatherapy treatment, and a private suite for couples, with side-by-side massage facilities and a steam bath.

** According to the StarTribune.com, Wisconsin bar owner ticketed for beer tap trick. Ray Wendt used a Miller Lite tap to serve Coors Light. He said he told customers they were drinking Colorado beer, not that from nearby Milwaukee. The bar owner's attempt to avoid wasting leftover beer got him a sharp reprimand and a $172 ticket. "It was an honest mistake," protested Wendt, who plans to fight the ticket.

** Suzanne Sykes tapped as the new Creative Director of Marie Claire (Fashion Week Daily).

** Jared Padalecki ("Supernatural") is currently filming "The Christmas Cottage" which is a look at the inspiration behind Thomas Kinkade's painting The Christmas Cottage. Padalecki will star as Kinkade.

** Cedar Point to debut it's newest ride, Maverick Saturday May 26th. To help commemorate its grand opening, Cedar Point will distribute free Maverick T-shirts to the first 3,000 riders on the coaster on Saturday, Sunday and Monday, May 26-28.
