Boutique Chic: The Shop Floor Project

I love finding clothes and accessories that have an international flair to them and a website that I love to visit, The Shop Floor Project (theshopfloorproject.com), though unable to shop from here because they currently do not ship to the U.S., that still doesn't stop me from viewing the unique items that are being shown from funky earrings to beautiful scarves.

This visually creative UK website was created and designed by mother and daugther team Samantha and Denise Allan. According to their website, "the aim of this site is to sell, exhibit, and commision works by the most interesting artists and designers from around the world".

Even though I can't purchase a thing, there's always something different and interesting to view.

The Paris Market & Brocante is a French inspired Flea Market themed shop. They offer charming items from beauty to home decor. You can also find one of kind vintage pieces such as oversized chandeliers and furniture that will give you and your home an individual look.

Josephine is a luxury shoe boutique created and owned by sisters Nicole Shockley and Danielle Rego. The interior of the shop is set in pink and chocolate brown accents, oversized chandeliers, pink tufted ottomans and an antique smoked mirror which makes vistors feel as though they have just stepped into a woman's boudoir.

Clients can browse through two-floors of designer shoes, luxury handbags and beautiful accessories. Nearby tables house various high end candles and fragrances. You will be able find various styles from designers like Givenchy, Isabella Fiore, Celine, Stella McCartney and more.

Lot 8 is a chic and fun boutique created by Chloe Dao the season 2 winner of Bravo's Project Runway. Dao not only carries her line, she also features other designes by Single, Dress, Abaco and Li Li Rose. She recently added the new mens collection Adam's Apple

Lot 8 is where to go if you are looking for something unique and original whether it's beautiful satin dresses, fun day dresses or the cutest tees and tanks. Lot 8 is one of the top boutiques in Houston.

Another good thing about this boutique is the open and friendly staff. They are helpful with out being pushy or hovering nearby trying to "make" a sale.

South Willard is not your typical boutique they focus on showcasing new or unknown designers such as Ann-Sofie Back, Rachel Comey, Veronique Branquinho, A.P.C and Bless.

The appeal of shopping at South Willards is that that many of the items are exclusives and can not be found at other boutiques. You can also find one of kind accessories and books that no one else has.

Harmony Lane is a luxury boutique located in Beverly Hills. Even though Harmony Lane is relatively new (open in March 2006) it has drawn the appeal of celebrities such as Jessica Simpson, Jessica Alba, Veronica Mars Kristen Bell, Eva Longoria and Christina Milian just to name a few. However, you don't have to be a celebrity to shop there.

The boutique has a casual vibe with an open and attentive staff. Harmony Lane has a knack for deciphering trends and showcasing them throughout the store with the top brands.

My shopping experience was quite nice I went with a friend who was looking for a new swim suit for her upcoming vacation. The staff was very friendly and not pushy.

Not planning on taking a trip to sunny California any time soon then you can also shop online at the Harmony Lane website.

Looking for that unique piece to update your wordrobe or something flirty and fabulous then you must visit Tracy Reese in NYC. Tracy Reese's line is sophisticated yet youthful.

Even though you can view the designers current collection, her Plenty line is also feature in the store. For those watching your budget Plenty is an equally fun collection from Tracy Reese including sleek dresses, flowy tops and clean lines.

Her boutique, located in the meatpacking district adds color and fun to the area. If you plan on taking a trip to New York City make a plan to visit the store.

There's more in Palm Springs than the desert. Trina Turk's designs are colorful, classic and preppy. Her Summer 2007 collection has a Jackie O. vibe with sophisicated and classic shapes with retro and modern patterns.

Her Palm Springs store is airy and bright white and envokes that vacation feel.

ELLE Magazine's Style Essentials: Miguelina

Fashionista's in Manhattan have another fashionable location to shop, Miguelina. The designer is known for her flirty satin and lace camis, flowy and fun tops and dresses and satin form fitted dresses.
